Dutty

hip-hop, dancehall, kanaval, rabòday

Dutty, also known as Dutty Yep Nishishi, is the stage name of David Darinus François, a Haitian rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer. Born in Léogâne, he spent many years in Jamaica, where he deepened his connection to reggae, ragga, and dancehall before returning to Haiti. That path helps explain a flow that moves between rap kreyòl, ragga, and Caribbean sounds rather than staying inside a single style.

Dutty founded Rap Kreyol Mizik Board and is the older brother of Fantom, the Barikad Crew rapper. His work spans social reflection, love, personal strength, and gangsta rap. His HaitiDJ collaborations—including "Yon Gangster" with S.A.L, Fantom, and Izolan, and "K-Naval Tolalito" with Fantom and Boaz—show his links across generations of rap and carnival/rabòday sounds.

This page presents Dutty as a rap kreyòl artist shaped by a Jamaica–Haiti trajectory, not only as a guest on a 2026 carnival recording. His work as a singer, producer, and music-organization founder makes him a link between dancehall, hip-hop, and the Haitian scene.
