EKIP was new as a name and old as a band the day it launched. Shabba, Steeve Khé and Ti Régi came out of Djakout to start it in January 2020, carrying decades of dances, carnival and major stages into a brand with no history at all. Dwat Nan Lari A is what that combination produces: kompa that is direct, popular and built to work live, with Kenny Haiti's newer-generation voice given real room rather than a guest slot.
