MechansT i am rap video officielle
by MechansT EKSTRATERES · 2021 · hip-hop · 3:27 · Haitian Creole, French
MechansT does not merely say he makes rap in “I Am Rap”; he identifies himself with the form. The November 2021 official video lasts beyond three minutes and serves as a statement about his place in Kreyol rap. Flow, punchlines, attitude, and the Ekstrateres persona must prove the title. MechansT moves through melody, kompa, trap, and pop, but this English phrase returns to his MC core. When an artist says “I am rap,” the question exceeds genre: have writing, performance, and public life become impossible to separate from rap?
