kanaval 2023- L'uNION
by Ti Pay Rèv · 2023 · kanaval · 5:21 · Haitian Creole, French
Ti Pay Rèv places “L'Union” in the 2023 carnival, through a video released February 11 and lasting beyond five minutes. The French title calls for coming together, a subject with particular meaning in carnival where drums, slogans, voices, and crowds must create one movement. The group comes from a roots-samba tradition joining Creole words with social criticism. Union cannot remain decorative language; the street arrangement must demonstrate it. Each collective response makes the message practical, while carnival energy tests whether different voices can hold one rhythm without disappearing.
