Poko Non Man
by TROUBLEBOY HITMAKER · 2017 · hip-hop · 6:15 · Haitian Creole, French
“Poko Non Man” is Troubleboy Hitmaker's entry for the 2017 carnival season, according to its video title. At six minutes and fifteen seconds, it has more room than a short freestyle or ordinary rap single, a scale suited to carnival's need to develop ideas, return to a hook, and keep a crowd moving. Troubleboy has no credited guest, so the full length rests on his own voice and writing. The track brings his hip-hop side directly into the public calendar of Haitian music.
