AndyBeatz

rabòday, kompa, afro-lokal

AndyBeatz, born Mike Andy Cajuste, is a singer, producer, and beatmaker who has become one of the key names in Haitian rabòday and afro lokal. Born in Pétion-Ville in 1999 and raised largely in Saint-Marc, he entered music as a child in a family environment where music, clubs, sound, and performance were already present. Before becoming AndyBeatz, he passed through the name DJ Andy Mix, the children's group Brothers C, then BMG, before his solo career took shape.

What distinguishes AndyBeatz is that he does not only sing over beats; he builds them. His tag, 'AndyBeatZ Pete Chawa', became a signature in Haitian urban music. He works in a space where rabòday absorbs local influences, afrohouse, dancehall, konpa, and pop, serving parties, video, carnival, and playlists at once. The success of 'Lave Latchaw', a remix drawing on the energy of 'Bella Ciao', helped push him into wider public view.

'Banm Bill Map Peye', 'Makila: Wablé', 'Banm Pase', 'Enèji', 'Vini Banm', 'Shot', 'Toutouni', and collaborations with Kenny Haiti, Chris Morning, Troubleboy Hitmaker, 5Lan, Tony Mix, DJ Valmix, Baky, and others show how he works as a bridge between producer and artist. He can give sound to others, but he can also carry his own voice inside the same movement.

AndyBeatz matters because he shows how the new generation of Haitian musicians has become multi-tool: beatmaker, singer, producer, social-media image, and sound entrepreneur. In rabòday, he is one of the figures making the sound cleaner, more exportable, and easier to place in diaspora playlists and non-Haitian audiences.
