Makila: Wable (Konpa Cover)

A cover is a translation exercise before anything else: take a song made in another musical language and rebuild it in your own. AndyBeatz takes Makila / Wablé into konpa, smoothing the melody into a supple keyboard-and-groove arrangement cut for the online dance circuit. It came out as a visualizer in April 2024, which puts the whole weight on the arrangement. This is beatmaker's work: born in Pétion-Ville in 1999, raised in Saint-Marc, he knows how to take a track apart and put it back together.
