BEDJINE

kompa

Bedjine, born Marie Bedjine Love David, is a singer-songwriter from Port-au-Prince, born on January 3, 1998. Several profiles trace her musical foundation to church choirs and school performances before her first public steps around 2016 with 'Damou' and collaborations alongside Fantom, Matyas, and other artists.

She became a central figure in current HMI because her voice combines fragility, drama, and control at once. After 'Diferan' and 'Mwen Kwè', the K-Dilak collaboration 'Fo Pwomès' became the turning point. Her musical link with K-Dilak continued through 'Pouki'n te marye', 'Pwomèt Mwen', and 'M Anvi Bo W', placing Bedjine at the center of conversations about love, women, hurt, and modern kompa-pop.

Her career is not limited to duets. 'Va-T'en Bb', 'Kita Nago', 'Koupe'm Sa', 'Tout Va Bien', 'Map Ret Ak Tèt Mwen', and the 2024 album MISYON AKONPLI show an artist able to carry her own emotional center. When 'Tout Va Bien' exploded on YouTube and drew praise from older-generation figures such as King Kino, Bedjine moved beyond the status of a new voice and became a public reference point.

'Foli Renmen' extends that trajectory in the Top 40. It is not just a romance record; it shows Bedjine as an interpreter who can make passion, doubt, hurt, pride, and melody feel like one conversation. In her generation, she is one of the clearest female voices for understanding where kompa, R&B, afro-Caribbean sound, and Haitian women's stories meet.
