Yani Martelly

kompa, kanaval

Yani Martelly was born in Port-au-Prince in 1997, into a family where Haitian popular music was already part of daily language. But his catalog is not only a continuation of a family name. He entered music with a clear sense of video, collaboration, carnival, and songs built to move through social platforms. After appearing in family projects and a Christmas song while young, his first solo single 'Premye Fwa' in 2015 placed him inside the newer HMI generation.

Since then, Yani has moved between kompa, carnival, reggaeton, dancehall, and Caribbean pop. 'Chilling', 'Fè Yo Wè w', and 'Pou Timoun Yo' show how carnival and public image enter his work; 'Fanm Sa Dekontrole m' with his brothers puts the family into a party record; 'Gen Bagay', 'Pap Sa Bliye', 'Pa Jwe Avèm', 'Antidote', and 'Peye' show an artist focused on hooks, motion, and video-first music.

'Voye Dlo' matters because it shows Yani's strongest role in the ecosystem: he does not only sing, he gathers. With Tonymix, Florence El Luche, and Isemylee, he places several HMI zones into one record, between DJ culture, pop, and party energy. That work helps explain how the generation after the classic big bands uses name, family, video, and collaboration to enter the Top 40.

His direct channel documents another concentrated 2026 sequence: 'Pap Sa Bliye' in February, 'Antidote' in April, 'Pa Jwe Avèm' with Isemylee in May, 'Peye' in July, and 'No Go Love' in August. Together, those releases show an artist continuing to use visuals and collaboration to present his singles.
