Gen Bagay feat. Kenny Haiti
by Yani Martelly · 2019 · kompa, rnb · 3:32 · Haitian Creole
Gen Bagay brings Yani Martelly and Kenny Haiti into a romantic kompa setting built on flirtation, call-and-response, and a hook that arrives early. At three and a half minutes it is shaped for the format it was made in: a 2019 video single meant to travel through phones rather than fill a dance-band set. Both singers belong to the generation that took that shift as a given — band feeling and R&B polish kept, the running time and the visual cut to fit a feed.
