My Life

“My Life” remains a major marker for 5 Etwal and Ti Lunet in the memory of Miami diaspora kompa. The official kompagrooves video appeared in 2014 and runs nearly five minutes, during the period when the group built the albums “Lavi Sa!” and “New Chapter.” Its English title places personal life at the front, while kompa relies on the polished arrangements and melodic writing that defined the band. 5 Etwal ended after its 2016 breakup, but this hit preserves the sound of a project bridging formal band culture and its members’ later solo paths.
