Balance

Two and a half minutes. Balance is the shortest thing in this part of the catalogue by some distance, and the compression is the craft: clipped delivery, no wasted setup, a hook engineered so the replay becomes the natural response rather than a request. Ayetian and Dj Mac keep the Haitian dancehall lane sharp by refusing to pad it. Nothing here is waiting for a bridge or a second verse to justify itself, and a track this economical asks a different question of a listener than a five-minute kompa does.
