Chochonèt Kanaval
by Brother's Posse · 2014 · kanaval · 6:47 · Haitian Creole, French
Brother's Posse carries "Chochonet" into the 2014 carnival through an official video lasting six minutes and forty-seven seconds. The record classifies it as carnival but neither defines the name nor supplies the slogan's lyrics. This page forces no translation. It lets the word's sound do the first work: compact, rhythmic, and easy for a crowd to repeat. The performance length gives the group time to move that name through sections, shifts in energy, and collective responses without losing its seasonal function.
