Chire Filè A Kanaval 2020
by EKIP · 2020 · kompa · 6:11 · Haitian Creole, French
EKIP emerged publicly in 2020 with years of HMI experience already inside its membership, and “Chire Filè A” placed the new name directly on the carnival street that same year. The official video runs six minutes and eleven seconds, giving kompa time to develop hooks, passages, and crowd energy. Its title uses the image of tearing a net, but the lyrics must say what barrier or opponent it targets. For a band launching its identity, that breaking gesture sounds physical and public, with the entire group behind it.
