Bricks M'anraje
by Fred Hype · 2013 · hip-hop · 4:14 · Haitian Creole, French
Fred Hype places Bricks forward on “M'Anraje,” a 2013 recording lasting just over four minutes. Its title announces anger in the first person, while production comes from a beatmaker who helped give Barikad Crew and 2000s Kreyol rap much of their sonic pressure. Bricks carries the MC voice; Fred Hype organizes the space where it can strike. Beat, repeated phrase, and urgency turn rage into collective performance rather than an emotion held inside one person.
