“Dekole” means take off — get up, leave the ground. J Perry shares the track with Shabba and Izolan, and four minutes and five seconds give each of the three presences room. The dancehall-and-kompa blend has been J Perry's ground since 2008: a way of carrying Haitian music far without leaving Kreyòl behind. A verb about the body lifting is exactly what a carnival track wants — it describes no feeling, it asks for movement.
