KAI Richard Cave "Mafia"ENNY HAITI
by Kai · 2020 · rabòday, kompa · 6:30 · Haitian Creole, French
“Mafia” presents Kenny Haiti as KAI and Richard Cavé’s guest in the official kompagrooves video. The catalog record drops the first letter of Kenny’s name, but the 2020 source title establishes the credit clearly. The track stretches to six and a half minutes, between kompa and rabòday, using a word associated with loyalty, group identity, and power in popular imagination. Richard applies his gift for large hooks, while Kenny brings a lighter newer-generation voice. The collaboration expands KAI’s Carimi inheritance without abandoning the dance sound its audience recognizes.
