MAFIA New song
by Kai · 2020 · kompa · 5:13 · Haitian Creole, French
The filename tangles the names, but kompagrooves supplies clear billing: KAI, Richard Cavé’s band, features Kenny Haiti on “MAFIA.” The word may suggest closed loyalty, power, or a group operating by its own rules, though the data does not settle which meaning the song chooses. This 2020 kompa collaboration runs five minutes and thirteen seconds. Richard Cavé brings a melodic line shaped by band experience, while Kenny Haiti adds a more recent generational presence. The audio needs no visual narrative to establish the title’s character because the name already creates an atmosphere. The firmest fact is the meeting of two voices and two HMI moments on one cadence.
