Nou Pa Moun Anko

“Nou Pa Moun Ankò” is an extreme phrase saying that change has reached the core of identity. KAI and Richard Cavé may use that exaggeration for relationship, society, or pressure making people unrecognizable to themselves, but the data does not settle the subject. Kompagrooves’s official video appeared in 2022 and runs four minutes and forty-three seconds. Rabòday and kompa place a desolate title over rhythm that keeps moving, as though the body continues while someone questions what they have become. “We” makes the crisis collective rather than one person’s complaint. The phrase need not be literal; its force measures the distance between who people were and who they now feel themselves to be.
