U Are The One
by Nickenson Prudhomme · 2017 · kompa · 6:01 · Haitian Creole, French
“U Are The One” comes from Nickenson Prud’homme’s solo side, where the keyboardist, arranger, and producer places his own voice at the front. The Topic version appeared in 2017 and runs just over six minutes, in the same melodic lane as his “Première Danse” repertoire. The English title offers a simple declaration of choice; its strength comes not from surprising words but from chord movement, gentle kompa, and a voice that does not need to push for emotion to remain. The song reveals another face of the musician who helped shape Zenglen and Harmonik.
