Tanpri Souple
by T-Vice · 2011 · kompa, kompa-gouyad · 5:38 · Haitian Creole, French
“Tanpri Souple” doubles the same polite request in Kreyol and French. T-Vice makes that repetition the title’s strength: the speaker wants no uncertainty about how the appeal is being made, even if urgency remains underneath. This 2011 version runs five minutes and thirty-eight seconds, moving between kompa and gouyad. The cadence urges the body forward while “please” holds a more vulnerable position. The DocAlesis source preserves the track from that period without further billing. What remains is the central contradiction, a gentle request carried by a rhythm machine with considerable confidence. Courtesy does not drain the music of pressure.
