Kanaval
by Vwadèzil · 2009 · rabòday · 6:51 · Haitian Creole, French
Emmanuel V’s source gives Vwadèzil’s piece one precise setting: carnival 2009. The catalog title remains simply “Kanaval,” so the season and group name carry most of what can be established. The video was uploaded that same year and runs six minutes and fifty-one seconds. Its rabòday classification emphasizes percussion, speed, and dance function, while a form this long lets calls and responses grow in the street. Without subtitle or lyrics, the page invents no carnival theme. It treats the recording as the trace of a collective event: music gaining meaning through movement, noise, and the reactions of people sharing one season.
