Pote'l Banm splits the emotional labour in two: Baky Popile supplies rap kreyòl directness, Medjy the melodic chorus rooted in kompa. The division works because each does what he does best rather than each attempting everything. Four minutes exactly, released in February 2020. What separates this pairing from many rapper-and-singer collaborations is that Medjy is not there to soften Baky — his line carries a claim of its own.
