Kalfou Danjere
by Boukman Eksperyans · 1992 · rasin · 5:36 · Haitian Creole
Kalfou Danjere is the title track of the Grammy-nominated 1992 album. A crossroads is where paths meet, and a dangerous crossroads is where you have to choose without knowing what follows. Boukman Eksperyans give that image the full force of rasin: drums, chant, and an electric band carrying ceremonial memory without explaining it. Five minutes thirty-six. An album released in 1992 under a title like that did not need to name anyone to be understood.
