Egal Ego
by Dener Ceide & Reginald Cangé · 2023 · kompa · 5:05 · Haitian Creole, French
“Egal Ego” foregrounds Dener Céide and Réginald Cangé in its credit, the same partnership that gives Zafèm its shape. The official audio arrived in May 2023 and runs just over five minutes. Its title plays on two closely sounding words, while the music balances Dener’s guitar and arranging with Réginald’s voice. Rather than fill every space, the kompa lets phrases breathe. Released in the Lalin Ak Solèy era, the track carries the project’s familiar search for precision, narrative weight, and adult emotion.
