Lalin Ak Solèy
by Dener Ceide & Reginald Cangé · 2023 · kompa · 5:37 · Haitian Creole, French
“Lalin Ak Solèy” gives Zafèm’s debut album its name and places two lights that appear at different times face to face. The official audio arrived in May 2023 through Dener Céide and Réginald Cangé’s channel. Across more than five and a half minutes, Dener’s guitar and arrangements give Réginald’s voice weight, precision, and space. The title can image different forces sharing one sky, much as the musicians bring distinct experience into a common project. The kompa remains elegant and adult, with no need to fill every silence.
