God Bless
by Durkheim · 2021 · chanson · 2:30 · Haitian Creole, French
God Bless keeps Durkheim in a reflective space, with a calmer tone and production that lets the voice breathe. It is a blessing you say when you have nothing else to give — and that is what makes the song work: it asks for nothing, it offers something. Two minutes thirty, the shortest of the four tracks from 9 August 2021. Rap kreyòl can move through prayer, determination and everyday life without changing register.
