A greeting is the smallest possible opening move, and Hello builds a whole kompa-zouk single on it. Fatima Altieri keeps the vocal lead clean and the setting polished, three and a quarter minutes of modern romantic presentation with nothing overreaching. Her strength has always been colour rather than force — a soft register applied to hurt, protection and wanting, arrived at through church, Digicel Stars at seventeen, and the 2019 album Enspirasyon. Choosing an English word as the title is its own small signal about the audience a Port-au-Prince singer now expects to reach.
