Debloke Peyia
by Harmonik · 2020 · kompa, kompa-gouyad · 6:50 · Haitian Creole, French
“Debloke Peyi a” gives Harmonik a public command for the 2020 carnival season: remove the blockage so the country can move. The track lasts six minutes and fifty seconds, longer and more collective than the romantic ballads marking much of the band's catalog. Kompa and kompa gouyad give the hook street force while voices, drums, and band repeat the demand as a slogan. This page names neither problem nor responsible person unless the lyrics do. It shows Harmonik leaving relationship intimacy to enter a national question with crowd energy.
