Lanmou Mechan is a producer's record before it is a singer's. JBeatz — Jean Robert Pluviose, who plays, programs, arranges, engineers and sings — sets Darline Desca inside five minutes of kompa feeling and R&B vocal, and the arrangement does as much of the talking as the lyric: a hook held taut between attachment and the damage attachment causes. The title claims love can be cruel without ceasing to be love, and nothing in the production softens that. It went out on his own JBEATZ DABEATZ channel in December 2019.
