Delete
by Mickael Guirand · 2023 · kompa · 5:13 · Haitian Creole, French
Mickael Guirand takes a digital command, "DELETE," and makes it the sole title of a 2023 kompa track. The version on his channel lasts five minutes and thirteen seconds, far longer than the click required to erase a file. That contrast lets the song measure what disappears easily from a screen against what resists removal from memory. Metadata does not say whether the voice wants to delete a message, image, or person, so this page selects no object. It stays with the decision and its possible resistance: one short word can issue the order, but the groove extends the question of whether erasure really happens.
