Dimension
by Oswald · 2023 · kompa, zouk · 4:37 · Haitian Creole, French
Dimension places Oswald's warm vocal colour in a kompa-zouk setting where softness and melody carry the romance rather than the weight of a band. The choice has consequences: with no horn section and no heavy arrangement, everything depends on the phrasing staying exact. Four minutes thirty-seven, released in April 2023 on the Oswald Sxm channel. A singer working this way has nowhere to hide, which is why his records sound like each other whatever the year.
