SUC (Sur Un Carreau)
by Oswald · 2020 · kompa, zouk · 4:39 · French, Haitian Creole
SUC (Sur Un Carreau) puts Oswald in a diaspora kompa-zouk lane: smooth vocals, close-dance language, and a title that measures the space required at a single floor tile. It went up on his Oswald Sxm channel in May 2020, which gave that image a second reading nobody needed explained at the time. The song does not press the point. The groove stays tight and unhurried across four and a half minutes, the phrasing keeps its R&B softness, and the rhythm carries the Caribbean weight underneath it.
