OB Medley 2
by Oswald · 2021 · kompa, zouk · 6:19 · Haitian Creole, French
A medley is an artist looking at his own catalogue, and the 2 tells us he has done it once before. OB Medley 2 folds several melodic ideas into one flow, and six minutes nineteen is the length the form requires: each fragment needs enough room to be recognised before the next arrives. The result is a snapshot of Oswald's romantic kompa-zouk identity, uploaded in October 2021 — not a new song but a statement about what is already there.
