The remix turns Rete La into a conversation. Oswald answers Rutshelle Guillaume across five and a half minutes — twenty seconds longer than the original, and the extra room goes to the exchange rather than to a longer outro. A zouk-diaspora colour is added without the original's restraint being traded away, which is the risk in any remix of a song that worked because it held back. Four months after the album version, it gave the song a second life on a different audience's terms.
