Can't Do This to Me
by Alan Cavé · 2015 · kompa, zouk · 4:40 · Haitian Creole, French
“Can’t Do This to Me” carries Alan Cavé in English over an arrangement between kompa and zouk. The version appeared on his official channel in 2015, runs four minutes and forty seconds, and chooses a boundary statement rather than a love declaration. Coming from the System Band musical family, Alan made a gentle voice, clear melody, and romance his signature through Zin and his solo career. Here, softness does not mean weakness; it becomes the singer’s way of saying that mistreatment cannot continue.
