Pour le Meilleur et Pour le Pire feat. Rutshelle Guillaume
by Baky Popile · 2018 · hip-hop · 3:30 · Haitian Creole, French
Pour le Meilleur et Pour le Pire is a marriage formula, and Baky Popile and Rutshelle Guillaume take it into a cover of the Brothers B song where rap kreyòl and HMI vocals share one emotional line. A cover puts two voices inside a frame someone else built, so what remains is what each of them brings to it. Three minutes thirty, released in July 2018. Two Haitian voices turning a love song into a dialogue is what the form was asking for.
