Gen Lafwa
by Barikad Crew · 2022 · hip-hop · 4:00 · Haitian Creole, French
“Gen Lafwa” is an imperative that promises no easy road; it asks someone to keep trust while the result remains unseen. Barikad Crew carries that idea into hip-hop, where several rappers can offer different reasons to remain standing. This 2022 track runs exactly four minutes and comes from the group’s channel. The metadata does not say whether the faith is religious, personal, or placed in a community. That openness allows the hook to support without imposing one belief. The title is brief, but its burden is not: asking for faith acknowledges that doubt is already present. The verses must show why hope deserves the work it requires.
