Mikaben - Eklate - - Carnaval
by Carimi · 2014 · kompa · 6:13 · Haitian Creole, French
Carimi and Mikaben place “Eklate” in the 2014 carnival through an official video on Mickael Guirand’s channel. The title commands energy to break open, pleasure to take over, and the moment to expand fully. Across more than six minutes, Mikaben’s voice enters Carimi machinery with keyboards, drums, bass, slogans, and street-built section changes. The meeting matters because two major 2000s signatures share one space: the band’s diaspora kompa and the flexibility of a singer able to move from twoubadou into pop and carnival.
