I Am Water feat. DJ Fredy Muks
by Fatima · 2020 · kompa, zouk · 2:55 · Haitian Creole, French
Fatima and DJ Fredy Muks released “I Am Water” in November 2020, several weeks before their other collaboration, “My Heart Is Racing.” Both tracks share kompa and zouk, but “I Am Water” is shorter at two minutes and fifty-five seconds. The English title uses water as an image without further explanation in the record, leaving Fatima's voice and the DJ's production to carry the rest of its identity. Heard beside the later song, it documents a partnership testing several ideas during the same period.
