Awoyo is an exclamation before it is a title — the sound people make when something hurts or startles them. Medjy builds a plaintive hook on it, and that is where the track's emotional lift comes from: not an argument, a sound. When a singer picks an exclamation over a sentence he is asking you to hear tone before meaning, and his vocal control makes that a reasonable request.
