Bad Gyal
by MEDJY · 2023 · kompa · 2:52 · Haitian Creole, French
Medjy invites Kenny Haiti onto “Bad Gyal,” an official lyric video released in May 2023. The title borrows dancehall vocabulary for a woman carrying attitude, while the catalog places the song in kompa. The pairing fits two voices from HMI’s streaming generation: Medjy often moves between melody and intimacy, and Kenny Haiti brings his own pop energy. The track lasts under three minutes, reaching its hook without detour. Instead of a long bal arrangement, it chooses speed, character image, and a chorus designed to return.
