Pridan
by MEDJY · 2023 · kompa · 3:06 · Haitian Creole, French
Medjy calls the track “Pridan,” advice able to protect someone while also revealing trust that has already been shaken. When a relationship requires caution, every word, promise, or sign may deserve a second look. The official 2023 lyric video lasts three minutes and six seconds, a short form that puts language forward without a visual story distracting from the warning. Its kompa cadence can remain smooth while the title keeps a brake on emotion. That is one of Medjy’s strengths: vulnerability need not sound old or heavy. It can enter a current, repeatable melody while the listener decides which risk is still worth taking.
