Pa Manyen m

“Pa Manyen m” draws a clear physical boundary in an animated video Mikaben released in April 2020. The track lasts two minutes and thirty-one seconds, with kompa and kompa gouyad as foundations, a contrast where the groove invites movement while the title says “do not touch me.” The lyrics must show whether the boundary comes from anger, protection, play, or a relationship situation. Mikaben moved easily among singing, rap, and several genres; here, the brief form lets his voice put emotion on a command needing no translation for Kreyòl listeners.
