Pokoichard Cave
by Steves J. Bryan · 2023 · dancehall · 4:13 · Haitian Creole, French
The source clarifies the run-together catalog title: this is “Poko,” a Steves J. Bryan track featuring Richard Cavé. Its official video arrived in September 2023 and runs just over four minutes. Steves brings dancehall, trap, and Kreyol rap, while Richard adds melodic and kompa instinct developed through Carimi and his other work. “Poko” says something has not yet happened or become ready, an easy tension for a hook to hold. Two generations and rhythmic methods share one phrase without either erasing the other.
