L'esprit De Noel
by Nu-Look · 2015 · kompa · 5:36 · Haitian Creole, French
“L’Esprit de Noël” places Nu-Look and Arly Larivière in seasonal repertoire apart from the band’s major relationship songs. The Topic version dates to 2015 and runs beyond five and a half minutes, with a French title summoning holiday atmosphere rather than romance. Kompa puts the celebration in motion, while Arly’s melody retains the warmth and intimacy making Nu-Look recognizable. The track can serve a family gathering or year-end dance, bringing Christmas into HMI’s orchestral language without needing to imitate a traditional carol.
