La même chose
by Joé Dwèt Filé · 2020 · zouk · 3:20 · Haitian Creole, French
On "La même chose," Joé Dwèt Filé uses a French title that suggests repetition before the lyrics enter the picture. The 2020 single stays within his zouk lane, with a cadence designed to carry the vocal rather than crowd it. Its three-minute, twenty-second form moves directly. Within Joé's catalog, it shows how a musician raised around gospel, kompa, and R&B can give Francophone song a Caribbean character without loading the arrangement with obvious signals.
