Slowly
by Joe Dwet File · 2025 · zouk · 4:26 · French, Haitian Creole
The upload is labelled Full Version, which tells you a shorter cut exists and that this one is the argument. Slowly keeps Joé Dwèt Filé's link between zouk, kompa and diaspora pop intact into the middle of the decade, and it does what the title instructs: a smooth groove that holds romance in front and refuses to accelerate for anyone. Four and a half minutes is long by 2025 streaming logic, where songs are trimmed to reach the chorus sooner. Releasing the unshortened take, and saying so on the label, is a small statement about who the song is for.
