Jessica
by Michaël Brun · 2023 · dancehall, pop · 3:02 · Haitian Creole, French, English
Michaël Brun gathers J Balvin, SAINt JHN, Charly Black, and J Perry on “Jessica,” a lyric video from July 2023 lasting just over three minutes. The guest list makes the track a meeting among Haiti, dancehall, reggaetón, rap, and international pop. One woman’s name stays at the center while four voices and several accents move around it. Brun acts as a producer organizing space rather than merely supplying rhythm. Beat, voice changes, and hook make “Jessica” a point where different Caribbean and American markets meet without everyone sounding the same.
