Positivo
by Michaël Brun · 2018 · pop · 2:59 · Haitian Creole, French, English
On “Positivo,” Michaël Brun meets J Balvin in a 2018 pop single connecting Haitian production with international reggaetón. The video appeared on J Balvin’s channel and keeps its form under three minutes, with a Spanish title placing a positive attitude at the front. For Brun, the collaboration fits a broader practice in which Haiti, Latin America, the Caribbean, and electronic music share one space. This is not kompa, but its rhythmic precision and openness across musical markets belong to the producer’s larger vision.
